On behalf of The Central government, the “Amrut Bharat Railway Sthanak Vikas Yojana” was started. Under this scheme, the Latur Railway station was proposed to be renovated and modernized. the laying of the foundation was done online by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi ji who participated remotely, in the function organized at the railway station. On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners of the essay writing competition, organized by the railways. Hon’ble M.P. Sudhakarji Shrungare gave away the prizes to the winners.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister has gifted a Marathwada railwaycoach factory to Latur in the past and helped in progress and employment in Latur. With modernizing the railway stations, Latur will take another step towards progress.M.P Hon’ble Sudhakar Ji Shrungare said that like the state bus service is giving 50% concession in fare for women, same previlage should be applicable in railway ticket prices.
